Our food categories:
The trial box contains 15 cans of wet food and 1 pack of soft treats (horse). Depending on your dog's size, it lasts about 1–2 weeks. A full elimination diet requires at least 8 weeks — but the trial pack lets you see if your dog accepts the food and tolerates it before committing to the full switch.
Only if they contain the same protein source. A single treat with chicken or beef can compromise the entire diet's results. That's exactly why horse protein soft treats are included in the trial pack — so you're covered for rewards too.
Many dog owners report initial improvements after 2–3 weeks — less scratching, firmer stools, calmer behavior after meals. For a reliable assessment, you should stick with the diet for at least 8 weeks — as recommended by the ICADA guidelines.

An elimination diet requires a protein source that's completely new to your dog — no prior exposure means no sensitization. Common proteins like beef, chicken, and dairy are the most frequent allergens. Lamb and venison aren't safe choices either: lamb cross-reacts with beef, and up to 85% of food-allergic dogs react to venison according to ICADA guidelines. Horse, goat, and kangaroo are virtually absent from conventional dog food — making them ideal novel proteins for diagnosis.
