Alles beisammen: Unsere Erstausstattung für Welpen
Starter Kit: The Right Puppy Nutrition
- The food: For healthy growth, your puppy needs suitable junior food in the first 12 months. This has, for example, a higher calcium content, which is essential for the rapid growth of bones. Whether wet food, dry food, or BARF: In our shop, you will find everything you need for the →healthy nutrition of your furry friend. Do you want to →learn more?
- The right bowl: To ensure your puppy doesn't have to feast from your plates, it's important to choose two bowls - one for food and one for water, which should always be fresh for your little furry friend. It's important that the bowl is dishwasher safe and that your puppy can handle it well. For example, with long floppy ears, it can happen that they get caught in the food - there are suitable bowls for that too.
- The mat: Do you like to keep things clean and want to prevent the bowls from scratching the floor? Put a mat under the bowls and save yourself the hassle of wiping up food and water remnants!
- Treats: First commands, leash training & co - delicious treats should not be missing when it comes to rewards. But the teething process can also be tough for your little four-legged friend in the first months. Chew treats can help by keeping your puppy occupied and alleviating some of the itching.

Starter Kit: The Right Puppy Care
- Shampoo: During an extensive exploration tour in the woods, your puppy won't miss out on a puddle or two. Full paw power ahead into the puddle! Do not use your own shampoo or regular soap for the →bath at home. Special dog shampoos clean gently and are tailored to the needs of your little furry friend.
- Brush & comb: To keep your little four-legged friend's coat →well-groomed, you need the right brush for the coat structure and hair length. Whether comb, natural bristles, or plastic: There is the right brush for every puppy.
- Care accessories for teeth & ears: The care of body parts like ears and teeth is often forgotten but is very important. A well-groomed set of teeth can later reduce the risk of tooth loss with pain and high veterinary costs. Whether →chew treat, toothbrush, or →dental powder: The selection is vast! The same goes for ear cleaning, which should be done regularly with →special ear cleaners.

- Tick prevention & tick tweezers: Tick season starts in March! And the little pests won't spare your puppy either. Consult your trusted veterinarian for suitable protection. And in case of the eight-legged cases: A tick tweezer allows you to completely remove the little troublemakers.
- Nail clippers: The rapid growth of your little darling also applies to the nails. While the nails wear down during walks, they still need to be trimmed from time to time.
Starter Kit: Living with a Puppy
- The basket or dog bed: A cozy retreat is essential for your little furry friend's privacy. Whether as a classic basket, padded cushion, bed, or cave: The main thing is to have a quiet corner for your darling to rest.
- The sleeping box: For the first time and until your puppy is →house-trained, we also recommend a sleeping box that should be completely closable. Don't worry, it's only there so that your puppy can let you know at night when he needs to go outside.
- A cuddle blanket: A blanket for your puppy has many advantages - whether at home, in the car, or in a restaurant: Your four-legged friend always has a cozy, mobile →favorite spot.
- Toys: Whether four legs or two - every child →needs something to play with. The selection is huge here too. Whether tug toy, squeaky duck, or stuffed animal: Your puppy will be delighted with a variety of toys.
- Stair gate: If your home has more than one floor, you should block the stair entrances with a gate in the beginning. Puppies are very curious and at the same time only somewhat coordinated in their movements. To avoid accidents, it's safer to take precautions.
Starter Kit: Going Outside with the Puppy
- Collar & harness: Whether you choose a collar or harness for walks, you should still have both. Sudden movements, which are not uncommon at first, can quickly strain the neck. A harness is also suitable for car rides, ensuring your little four-legged friend is well secured while traveling. But which harness should you choose for puppies? A soft-padded one that doesn't constrict and allows natural movement is best. Consulting a specialist store is highly recommended. For training in dog school or at home, however, a collar is advantageous.
- The leash: Which leash is right for puppies? For starters, a regular, washable leash is recommended. A long line has proven particularly useful in leash training. You can use retractable leashes, but you should wait until your puppy is somewhat leash-trained.
- Poop bags: Since you will definitely need to dispose of your four-legged friend's poop, a roll of poop bags is a must-have for on the go. They even come in →eco-friendly and biodegradable options!
- Car and bike equipment: Whether going on vacation or just for a day trip: You want to be well-prepared on two and four wheels. For bicycles, a basket is suitable if your puppy weighs less than 8 kg. For your car, you can use the same box for transport that your furry friend also uses for sleeping - especially when it is no longer needed for house-training, this is great recycling! If you want to take your puppy in the back seat, a seatbelt is also suitable.
- Raincoat: Let's be honest - very few people enjoy getting wet. To make it more comfortable for your puppy in the rain and to prevent him from sliding into the house like a drenched poodle (or Labrador?), you can get him a lightweight raincoat.
- Muzzle: It doesn't do anything! That's fine, but sometimes there can be situations where your four-legged friend needs to wear a muzzle. Especially for larger breeds, this is mandatory on buses and trains - whether Doberman or Retriever. To prepare your dog for such moments, it's best to get him used to it from a young age.
So, now that you have all the information, you can get started! On your paws, ready, go!
