Diet Change
Gradually accustom to the new food
For a smooth transition, we recommend a period of 6-10 days, possibly over a longer period if the animal is sensitive and/or difficult to switch to a new food.
At the start of the transition, mix a very small portion (max 1/4) of the new food into the usual food and gradually increase the amount each day until you have completely switched to the new food.
A slow/proper transition to new food is important to allow the animal's digestive enzymes and gut flora to gradually adapt to the new diet and prevent digestive issues (soft stool, diarrhea) from occurring.
A slow and careful transition of food should always be carried out, even when switching within a product category (wet food, dry food, fresh menus).
