Diet Change
Gradually accustom to the new food
For a smooth transition, we recommend a period of 6-10 days, possibly over a longer period if the animal is sensitive and/or difficult to switch to a new food.
At the start of the transition, mix a very small portion (max 1/4) of the new food into the usual food and increase the amount in small steps every day until you have completely switched to the new food.
A slow/proper transition to the new food is important so that the animal's digestive enzymes and intestinal flora can gradually adapt to the new diet, preventing digestive problems (soft stool, diarrhea) from occurring.
A slow and careful transition of food should always be carried out, even when switching within a product category (wet food, dry food, fresh menus).
