Change of Diet
Gradually accustom to the new feed.
For a hassle-free transition, we recommend a period of 6-10 days, possibly over a longer period if the animal is sensitive and/or difficult to switch to a new feed.
At the beginning of the transition, mix a very small portion (1/4 max.) of the new food into the usual food and gradually increase the amount every day until eventually completely switched to the new food.
A slow transition to the new feed is important so that the animal's digestive enzymes and intestinal flora can gradually adapt to the new food and prevent digestive problems (soft stool, diarrhea, bloating) from occurring.
A gradual change in diet should always be carried out for safety reasons - at least in animals with a sensitive digestive tract - even when switching within a product category (wet food, dry food, fresh menus).
