Change of diet
Gradually accustom to the new feed
For a smooth transition, we recommend a period of 6-10 days, possibly over a longer period if the animal is sensitive and/or difficult to switch to a new feed.
At the beginning of the transition, mix a very small portion (max 1/4) of the new food into the usual food and increase the amount in small steps every day, until eventually completely switched to the new food.
A slow/proper transition to new food is important so that the pet's digestive enzymes and gut flora can gradually adapt to the new diet, preventing digestive issues (soft stool, diarrhea) from occurring.
A slow/proper transition of food should always be carried out, even when switching within a product category (wet food, dry food, fresh menus).
