Training and keeping
In most federal states, the American Bulldog is classified as a list dog, which is why keeping him is only permitted under certain conditions or completely prohibited. However, he is often unjustly labeled as a →aggressive breed, which is why experienced lovers should definitely be found for him.
A confident and temperamental breed also requires confident and consistent training. However, this does not mean that the American Bully should be trained with drill and harsh methods! The sensitive four-legged friend needs gentle yet self-assured guidance. Early socialization also helps him to get along relaxed with other dogs later on.
What many also underestimate: The American Bulldog needs a lot of exercise to live a balanced and species-appropriate life. He is a great companion for jogging or swimming. However, proper dog sports like agility might be a bit too much.
