Character and Nature
Specifically bred for an exciting →family but also single lifestyle, the Elo is a relaxed four-legged friend that is not easily disturbed. When looking at the "desired traits" of this dog breed, it gives the Golden Retriever a run for its money: alert yes, but by no means bark-happy or aggressive. Sociable, but no problems being alone. Compatible with humans and other dogs, and up for play and fun, without getting overly excited.
The character of the Elo sounds almost too good to be true. Of course, this dog breed also wants to take its rounds in nature and needs mental stimulation. Additionally, note that due to its short breeding history, individual dogs may occasionally fall outside the norm.
Training and Care
The Elo is quite undemanding and therefore adapts easily to the life of its humans. Whether going to the →office or restaurant, a life in the city or in the countryside - the Elo is easy to satisfy. Of course, this four-legged friend should not be left alone at home all day and needs enough exercise.
Despite its low demands, you should pay attention to a →healthy and balanced diet for your four-legged friend from the very beginning. If you are still a bit unsure, let our →free feeding consultation help you.
Due to its easygoing nature, the Elo is a suitable →dog for beginners. While it does require a certain consistency and guidance in training, it forgives mistakes and definitely wants to do everything right. The playful and good-natured furry friend enjoys being with other dogs but is also content with its family.
What does an Elo look like?
It is striking that the Elo does not have a breed-typical coat color. The reason for this is that the focus during breeding was primarily on character. However, this has not harmed the sweet appearance of the four-legged friend. Perhaps even the opposite? Its pointed ears, fluffy coat, and curled tail strongly resemble a mix of its original breeds: Eurasier, Bobtail, and Chow-Chow.
The fluffy breed comes in small or large sizes. The small Elos reach a shoulder height of up to 45 cm, while the large counterparts can grow up to 60 cm.
